'The End' is coming in 2012 | Roland Emmerich | Exclusive Trailer of new movie

June 21, 2009

Roland Emmerich has got the expetise in destroying the world in his movies. Although he claims that he doesn’t believe in aliens but we can’t forget how he created ‘Independence day” which made people believe in aliens. Now it is’ ‘The End’ in which he has showcased the complete devastation and destruction of the world in the year 2012. It is to me noted that there are many pseudo scientific theories going on which are coming out with various interpretations on how our world will end in 2012. Anyway for move buffs these scientific theries might not have much value.

Have a look on the theories:

The Mayan Calendar
2012 gained the patina of doom with the best-selling 1966 book “The Maya” by Harvard archeologist Michael D. Coe. He noted that the Mayan culture’s famously complex “Long Count” calendar simply ends on 12/21/12, speculating that civilization might come crashing down on that date. Other scholars argue, however, that the Mayan calendar would merely flip over like an odometer that reached 100,000 miles.

Galactic Alignment
Astrologers have also pointed out that during the winter solstice of 2012, the orbital planes of the solar system and the twelve Zodiacal constellations will intersect with the “Dark Rift” — a black bit of the Milky Way located next to Sagittarius. Some argue this intersection is precisely why the Mayans — who were brilliant astronomers — ended their calendar when they did. But other astrologers believe that this conjunction will usher in a great shift in consciousness.

Timewave Zero
And then there’s ounterculture thinker Terence McKenna whose Timewave Zero theory — drawing off of elements from the “I-Ching,” the teachings of philosopher Alfred North Whitehead, and modern fractal mathematics — which determined that 12/21/12 is, you guessed it, the exact date of a profound change in world. Roughly speaking, the Mayans, astrologers and McKenna are all predicting global doom or the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

Sunspots and Pole Problems
So if the apocalypse is set just in time for holiday shopping season three years from now, how exactly will the world end? One theory that actually has some traction in the scientific community is that a solar flare will cause a sudden shift in the magnetic orientation of the Earth’s poles, causing all kinds of planetary problems like volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. NASA is predicting strong solar activity around 2012 and there’s evidence that the magnetic poles are slowly weakening, something that reportedly presages a reversal. Of course, most scientists think that this reversal will take centuries, not days, to occur.

Hrithik and Barbara Mori, Sussanne is watching now

June 15, 2009

It seems that Hrithik Roshan is enjoying the limelight for all the wrong reasons. He and his wife Sussanne Roshan are in the news every other day. If not for walking the ramp abroad at a films awards night together, then for lovingly fooling around at the rehearsal of Farah Khan’s jewellery line show; and if not that, then for presenting the picture of perfect matrimony at the launch of a company that, well, plans weddings! But Bollywood cannot be fooled. This, say industry people with an unkind bent of mind, is an eyewash for the public which has been appalled by Hrithik’s very-apparent closeness to Mexican actress and Kites co-star Barbara Mori. Unable to take the gossip of a torrid relationship between the Bollywood hunk and the Latino sex bomb, Sussanne is believed to have read out the riot act to Hrithik. And, she also began accompanying her husband at public events to show the world that they are a couple. Talking about the ramp show, Sussanne said somewhat defensively, “I wouldn’t have done something like this in
But Hrithik was very excited. We haven’t done anything like this before. It was super fun.” Apparently, the couple left their sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan behind with grandmother Zarine Khan and went for the show. When asked if this new effort of publicly being seen together was an attempt to confirm their bond and convince the world that everything is fine, Sussanne shot back, “I don’t care about the loose talk going on. People will always have their opinion. I may not be an actress, but I have a filmi background, and I’m aware how people put two and two together.”
But not even Sussane can deny that onscreen, at least, sparks did fly between the hot Hrithik and saucy Barbara. Rumours of a romance between the co-stars, however, Sussanne felt were fabricated.
“There’s nothing between them that would distract or disturb me. Coming from a filmi background again, I understand if a man works with a good-looking girl, he is bound to get linked to her. So no issue,” she said. And as for the chemistry, Sussanne admitted, “Obviously there is a chemistry… because it’s a love story. It looks real, but that’s how all films internationally are supposed to be. It’s good for the film. We want it to work.”

It seems that bollywood is not going to get rid of controversies. IIFa award which is considered as the spectacle to the world from Bollywood is not going to have the major Bollywood stars participating in it.

First in the list is Akshay kumar who is planning to have holiday with his son and wife in USA , its amazing that he could have enjoyed very good holiday in Macau where IIFA is scheduled to take place.
Second is Kareena who is going to have advertisement shoot , date of which is clashing with the Macau festival.
Saif is also not far behind and he is going to promote his new movie in England, while watching T 20 world cup and enjoy his time with Kareena who is expected to join him.
Even Shahid Kapur has not confirmed his participation in the IIFA award 2010.
And at last but not the least the threee superstar Khans Shahrukh khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan ; they all are not going to attend the function of IIFA.
Definitely IIFA will have to think why the stars who are having sway over more than 60% of the movie fans in India are keeping distance from it.

David Carradine's Family contemplating legal action against the leak of forensic photographs

June 7, 2009

Image of David Carradine as published by Thai Tabloid

BASED ON REPORTS FROM YAHOO and POSTCHRONICLE.COM

David Carradine’s family member are highly distressed with the leak of the forensic photographs of the actor after death.
Keith Carradine, the half brother of the dead actor has filed reports with the FBI that could lead to the agency’s involvement, said Mark Geragos, attorney for the “Kung Fu” actor’s half-brother.

The family might also seek an independent autopsy by famed forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden to determine whether another person could have been involved, Geragos said. Results of an autopsy performed Friday in Bangkok were not expected for at least three weeks.

A chambermaid found Carradine’s body Thursday at Bangkok’s Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel. Thai authorities said they have all but ruled out foul play, based on surveillance footage and interviews with hotel staff that indicate no one was in Carradine’s room before he died, said Col. Somprasong Yenthuam, who is heading the investigation.

A grainy photo published on the Saturday cover of the tabloid Thai Rath shows a naked body suspended from a clothes bar in a hotel closet, hands apparently bound together above the head and feet on the floor. The face is blacked out and other areas are obscured.

The tabloid did not indicate the source of the image, but Thai police said they believed it was a picture of Carradine’s body taken by a forensics team.

Keith Carradine said in a statement that the family was “profoundly disturbed by the release in Thailand of photographs taken at the scene of David Carradine’s death,” and threatened legal action against further distribution.

“The family wants it understood that, per attorney Mark Geragos, any persons, publications or media outlets will be fully prosecuted for invasion of privacy and causing severe emotional distress if the photos are published,” the statement read.

The actor’s family hopes the body will arrive in Los Angeles by Monday, Geragos said, but he did not give specifics.

Geragos said the family decided to intervene because of conflicting information about Carradine’s death and a lack of direct information from Thai authorities.

“All we really know is not much more than what the public knows, and that’s disturbing,” Geragos said.

Agents were checking with the FBI’s legal attache at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok to see if Thai authorities “are requesting or would welcome FBI assistance in this matter.” FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said the agency generally only gets involved in death investigations overseas if a crime is suspected.

Investigators initially said Carradine’s body was found “naked, hanging in a closet,” causing them to suspect he had taken his own life. But his family, friends and representatives have said they doubt the 72-year-old actor would have killed himself.

Police later said the actor may have died from accidental suffocation or heart failure after revealing that he was found with a rope tied around his wrist, neck and genitals — leading to speculation that Carradine may have engaged in a dangerous form of sex play known as auto-erotic asphyxiation.

But Geragos said he expects the examination by the New York-based Baden, a celebrity among forensic pathologists who frequently consults on high-profile cases, will clear up many unanswered questions.

“It’s an amazing thing what a good pathologist can accomplish,” Geragos said.

Carradine flew to Thailand last week and began work on a film titled “Stretch” two days before his death. His friends and associates told CNN’s Larry King he had a happy marriage, recently bought a new car, and had several films lined up after he finished work in Bangkok.

A martial arts practitioner himself, Carradine was best known for the U.S. TV series “Kung Fu,” which aired from 1972-75. He played Kwai Chang Caine, an orphan who was raised by Shaolin monks and fled China for the American West after killing the emperor’s nephew in retaliation for the murder of his kung fu master.

Carradine also appeared in more than 100 feature films with such directors as Martin Scorsese, Ingmar Bergman and Hal Ashby. He returned to the top in recent years as the title character in Quentin Tarantino’s two-part saga “Kill Bill.”

Funeral arrangements of David Carradine have not been announced.

Britney Spears wants her sons to meet the queen of england

June 6, 2009
britney spears
London, June 6 (PTI) American pop star Britney Spears wants her young sons to meet the Queen of England over high tea.
The 27-year old hit maker who is currently performing at London’s O2 arena, wants to visit the Buckingham palace with her two sons — Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2 — so that they can meet the 83-year-old monarch, reported Mirror online.

“Britney’s schedule has been crazy from the minute she arrived in Britain. But no way does she want to leave without visiting the queen. She has told her aides she is desperate for her sons to rub shoulders with royalty. And she does not want to be disappointed,” a source close to the singer told the newspaper.

The singer who has often been accused of lip syncing through her live performances has also raised eyebrows with the raunchy content of her ‘Circus’ tour.

But the ‘Toxic’ singer has always been open about her love for the royalty and had earlier befriended the Queen’s grandson, Prince William.

“We exchanged emails for a little bit and he was supposed to come and see me somewhere but it didn’t work out,” Spears had said about her association with the young royal. PTI

Bruno drama with Eminem was staged: MTV writer admits

June 3, 2009

Suspicions over the legitimacy of “butt-gate” had been brewing for days, but it wasn’t until a writer for the MTV Movie Awards confessed that we all knew for sure. On his blog, head writer Scott Aukerman wrote that the incident was staged. “They rehearsed it at dress (rehearsal) and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show.” Wow. Let it never be MTV movie awards 2009said that Eminem isn’t a team player.

Baron Cohen, clad in white feather wings and a jockstrap, swept from the air on a harness and landed face down in the lap of Eminem, who was wearing a microphone and sitting in the audience. On TV, the rapper was then shown leaving the building, in what MTV said was “a heated rage.”

But writer Scott Aukerman, who worked with the show’s presenter Andy Samberg, wrote in a blog posting on Monday that the “the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged.”

“That’s all anyone wants to talk about, so let’s get it out of the way. They rehearsed it at dress (rehearsal) and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then,” Aukerman wrote. The posting has since been removed

Marilyn Monroe ,unpublished photo

June 1, 2009

courtsey: cnn.com,life.com

They were taken before Marilyn Monroe became branded as the voluptuous blonde who oozed sex appeal in dozens of Hollywood films.m-m

They were taken before rumors of an affair with President John F. Kennedy swirled and her mental breakdowns became public.

They were taken before the beautiful actress’s mysterious overdose that resulted in her death at the age of 36.

In a collection discovered by Life.com last month, unpublished photographs of Monroe reveal a softer, more innocent 24-year-old budding starlet in a more peaceful time, before her fame peaked.

Her flawless face bears a natural look with minimal makeup, unusual for the star, who was often glamorized in photo shoots with lipstick, designer dresses and expensive jewelry.

Monday would have been Monroe’s 83rd birthday. FOR MORE PHOTO GO THROUGH THE GIVEN LINK

In one photo, the young Monroe lies in bliss, reading on a park bench, which editors at Life.com believe was shot at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. In another, her face is serene as she is perched over a bridge barefoot. The shoot, which dates to 1950, was conducted by Life photographer Ed Clark.

It’s a side of Monroe that the American public has rarely seen.

“She hasn’t really exploded as a star, yet she was on the brink of something big,” says Dawnie Walton, deputy editor at Life.com, a Web site harboring more than 7 million Life magazine photographs. The site was launched in March.

“I was amazed looking at her face. Although she looks very innocent, there is something very … sexy.”

Last month, Walton stumbled upon the rare photographs while combing through the company’s digital photo archives. Apparently, no one at Life.com even knew they were ever taken.

Upon investigating the photos, Walton says, she found there were few notes left on the negatives. She says the photos were probably taken for a cover shoot that was never used. Monroe appeared on her first Life magazine cover in 1952.
“It just got lost and stowed away,” Walton said. “It was just … somewhere in a warehouse in New Jersey.”

At the time the photos were shot, Monroe had her first small breakout role as a mistress in “The Asphalt Jungle.” The star was better known as a model at the time, though she’d had a handful of cameos in films.

Photographs later in the 1950s and early 1960s would display a much more confident and sexual Monroe — images that would become iconic in popular culture.

There is the famous photograph of a busty Monroe in a white halter dress, standing with her skirt blowing up in 1955 for her role in “The Seven Year Itch.” In 1962, American photographer Bert Stern shot a tipsy, sometimes nude Monroe in a series of delicate shots that would be known as “The Last Sitting.” Monroe died about six weeks later, on August 5, 1962.

Life.com staff members say there are 15 billion photographs in the Life archive dating back to the late 1850s, even before Life officially began publishing in 1936. Two years ago, the publication began slowly transferring the photographs into a digital archive.

From time to time, unpublished photographs will be found that the company doesn’t know existed. Other times, the photographs may have been taken but never selected to be used for publication.

Last March, to commemorate the 11th anniversary of Frank Sinatra’s death, Life.com released a series of unpublished photographs of the singer. In April, Life.com released newly recovered, never-before-seen photographs of Martin Luther King Jr. taken by a Life photographer on the day King was assassinated at a Memphis, Tennessee, hotel in 1968.
